About the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation and Museum Founded in 1937, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation is dedicated to
promoting the understanding and appreciation of art, architecture, and other manifestations of
visual culture of the modern and
contemporary periods, and to collect, conserve, and study the art of our time.
The objectives of curatorial course are aiming to: —
promote reflections questioning the role of the curator, and research projects in the field of
contemporary visual culture; — set up working platforms that may enable participants to develop further curatorial works; — proliferate networking between young creators of the
visual art scene and encourage international circulation of cultural projects.
Our publishing programme focuses on
promoting the work of unknown and artists, writers and thinkers whose perspectives on modern and
contemporary visual art and
culture challenge and provoke international discussion and debate.
Established in 2012, this statewide, juried exhibition
promotes contemporary art practices in the state of Louisiana, provides exhibition space for the exposition of living artist's work, and engages a
contemporary audience that recognizes the vibrant
visual culture of Louisiana and the role of New Orleans as a rising, international art center.
