books over 2.99 they're now giving 65 % royalty now if you go through their
PubIt.
Okay, realize that if you have an internal business publication deadline, don't announce the exact date because it takes days for a
book to come live on Kindle and
PubIt and Kobo and iBooks, a month of time at least for any POD with proofing, and such.

Pubit, but that's largely because of the platform I've built and people going to look for me directly THERE for their Nooks (Smashwords is less well known).

Once you submit your
book and make a
Pubit account you can submit your content and within 24 to 72 hours later you can be an officially launched author.
Last October, Borders had also entered the self publishing genre by setting up Borders Publishing in conjunction with
Book Brewer which was in line with Amazon's Digital Text Publishing Platform or the B&N's
PubIT program.
So just by putting your
books up on Kindle,

I'm not sure if it's possible to tell if a
book actually went through smashwords or
pubit, even though smashwords is listed as the publisher.
So just by putting your
books up on Kindle, Smashwords, and
Pubit, you have hit basically 17 major worldwide outlets.
The
book is US centric, so when you read it, remember that non-US citizens can not publish direct on Nook
PubIt, or use ACX (Audible's audiobook marketplace) at the moment.
First you need to create accounts where you want your
books to be distributed: Amazon KDP, Barnes & Noble
PubIt and Smashwords.

book there, it is distributed to that platform only.
I've published my
books through the Big Six in New York, and I was shocked when
PubIt!
Also, why would an author sign up to
pubit when using Smashwords once means they get their
books on Smashwords site, in B&N, on Apple's ibookstore, in Sony and in Kobo?

Pubit.

book in processing with
PubIt right now and it contains both an email address to the publisher and a link to my website on the copyright page, so I guess I'll soon find out if that violates their terms.
I've got two
books listed on BN through both Smashwords and
Pubit.
Also,
PubIt's terms also state: «Please be aware that the following content is unacceptable and submitting or posting said content in your eBook file, cover image, or product data will result in immediate termination of your account: Advertisements: Material contained within your eBook that primarily seeks to sell a product other than the eBook itself...» and «Hyperlinks of any kind, including email addresses... Advertisements or promotional material» (even for the author's other
books!)
As luck would have it, the re-acquisition of the rights to her
books came along almost at exactly the same time that Barnes & Noble launched its digital self - publishing platform
PubIt!
Many other companies like Kindle Direct Publishing and
PUBIT do not really have great tools to make your
book.
By removing the
book from the KDP program, I can also pursue selling the
book in iBooks, Kobo and Barnes and Noble
PubIt.
I've now sold over 4000 copies, total, and even though I didn't release the
book through
PubIt until the middle of October, the gap between Kindle and NOOK sales has narrowed to merely a few hundred.
When we bring a new
book into existence, I focus on the bigger houses in this order: Kindle first (they sell most), then
Pubit (Nook reader, or its replacement) for Barnes & Noble, then Smashwords (so I can get into Apple, but we've also reached Kobo, Sony, and Diesel that way too), all with the same ebook Word file.
Hold sessions that teach writers how they can create for and publish their
books on
PubIT.
I published six
books (all had done well in Amazon's KDP Select program) through
Pubit, and I can count on one hand the number of sales that were generated via that outlet.
