Our third dive of the day was done at Yellit, a perfect spot to see the Raja Ampat
Pygmy Seahorse around the Gorgonias that inhabitat them walls.

One day can be filled with the magnificent Oceanic Sunfish, or Mola Mola,
around the waters of Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida, whilst the next you can be searching for
pygmy seahorses in the northern area of Bali.
Around the Gilis we get both the common
pygmy seahorse (Hippocampus bargibanti) and Denise
pygmy seahorse (Hippocampus denise).
Around Bunaken we have seen Halimeda & Ornate Ghost Pipe fish, Denise & Pontohi
Pygmy Seahorses, Blue Ring Octopus, Candy...
It is known as the kingdom of the
pygmy seahorses, as well as having small allied cowries in the gorgonian seafans, and nudibranches.Best known diving areas
around Misool: Within each of the following areas, there are always several dive sites.
Following the bottom
around the site you will find a great wall with Gorgonian sea fans, look closely and you might find some
Pygmy seahorses.

pygmy seahorses near Tepekong / Mimpang.
There is plenty of action in the blue, but the highlights are to be found in and
around the reef, such as ornate ghost pipefish and
pygmy seahorses (up to 40 on 1 fan!).
Great underwater scenery, and a great place for macro photography — Living
around the soft corals you can find critters including
pygmy seahorses, decorator crabs, and many small commensal species living with crinoids.
If you dive deeper
around 30m, you may have the chance to spot the famous but rare
pygmy seahorse!
Just follow the wall
around and look out for Mandarin Fish, Ghost Pipefish,
pygmy seahorse, Horseshoe crab and occasional epaulet shark.
Schooling Yellowtail Barracudas were seen
around, while more macro life was also photographed, to name a few: Blue Dragon nudibranch, Crocodile Flathead, Denise and Bargibanti
Pygmy Seahorse.
The current was medium at the beginning but after went to slack and some of the highlights seen on the sandy bootom and
around the incredible Soft Coral garden were: schools of Black Fin Barracudas, Wobbeggong Shark, Hacksbill Turtle, Napoleon Wrasse,
Pygmy Seahorses and more.
The variety of marine life
around Komodo Island ranges from sunfish, mantas, dolphins and eagle rays to the fascinating
pygmy seahorses, ornate ghost pipefish and blue - ringed octopus, making this one of the most diverse and vibrant dive spots on the planet.
