The secret of the 2017 Alabama Crimson Tide is that despite having one of their

on 3rd down, in addition to the Aaron Donalds and Fletcher Coxes of the league, guard value is
on a meteoric rise.
Now that the
team around him has gotten
better in his absence, I don't think it's silly for the Vikings to «hope» they get their return
on their investment
on the
QB reports still say the Vikings still hold to a high standard behind closed doors.
And there's a big difference between being «
good» as a
QB and simply being the
best on your
team.
A big play effects the whole
team, maybe if the D had more big plays last year, Logan would have done
better on putting pressure
on the
QB.
By all accounts they were a
team on the rise (minus
QB injuries they still are) with decent recruiting and system cohesion guided by
good coaching.
I always assumed the reason we built up the rollover was to pay for players when the
team actually got
good and that will be especially true if we hit
on our rookie
QB this season (I know - 5 years is a long time and probably not relevant).
It's never
good when your
team has odds
on a next head coach and odds
on what
team your franchise
QB will be
on next year.
How many of those players had the

on their
team, a GREAT OL, a GREAT
QB, and multiple other WR threats.
Fill other needs that make the whole
team better, rather than a potentially dynamic
QB who doesn't play at all for the next year or two or spends his Sundays wondering why he's
on the ground again — because the OLine is more invisible than a WalMart greeter.

team that is stacking talent.
Clement was
on one
good foot, a freshman
QB in his first start
on the road against a top 10
team, a kicker who had never attempted a field goal before, starting a walk -
on on the offensive line who also happens to back up every position, as
well as the world.
What does that say???? It says Wentz was average
QB on a very very
good Division I FCS
team and they did not miss him at all..
Team Nolan got
on the board first as
QB Alex Jiminez hit Trevor Mullen for a score and then they followed up with another one as
QB Alex ran in another score and just like that
Team Nolan had a 13 - 0 lead...
Team Apuli had too
good of a season to just lay down however..
A space eating, double
teaming,
QB harassing, violent tackling, defensive tackle would make everybody
on the D
better at their jobs.
As I noted above, Notre Dame wasn't a
good passing
team in 2017 (their
QBs were horrible) so they ran the ball
on 1st and 2nd downs a lot more often than any other
team BC faced with Landry.
He was a really really
good backup
QB on a
team with an owner who couldnt pick a championship player from a hole in the ground — yet puts the
team in cap hell for years thinking he can.
On this
team, you have a
good (not great)
QB but are winning because you have a strong running game and a stout defense.
So if both # 1 and # 2 are gone, that tells me there is a really
good QB prospect still
on the board that a
team is going to give up a lot to get.
Because not only did Wentz consistently demonstrate translatable skills, he was also easily the
best player
on the field at all times, a
QB that led his
team to back - to - back championships, and a player that put up impressive numbers.
Signing Cousins to a record deal will put a similar strain
on this
team moving forward because we will be locking up a significant portion of our salary cap to keep a
QB that has proven to be
good but not great.
