the qualifications summary section is an ideal way to start your sales resume.
A qualifications summary section of a resume (also known as a «Qualifications Profile») is an optional customized section at the beginning of the resume that lists key achievements, skills, experience, and your qualifications that are most relevant to the position for which you are applying.
Instead, write a profile section - also known as
a qualifications summary section - that sets the focus for the document while calling out the qualifications and accomplishments that show how you will meet the employers» needs.
You can include your achievements in a Profile or
Qualifications Summary section, with 4 or 5 bulleted paragraphs, each one or two lines long.
The Qualification Summary section of your resume is where you lure a potential employer into your resume with a few bullet points that briefly highlight your skills, abilities, and accomplishments.

The
section on economics in the
Summary for Policymakers starts with an added
qualification: «Global economic impacts from climate change are difficult to estimate.»
This resume format uses a professional
summary section at the top of the document to outline your key skills and
qualifications, and combines it with a chronological «Work History»
section that explains how you've leveraged these qualities to produce results for your employers.
You may also choose to include a profile or

Resume writers refer to this
section by many names — «Performance
Summary», «

Summary», etc. — but they all serve the same function on your resume.
It includes a professional
summary and «areas of expertise» or «core competencies»

Increasingly, jobseekers are supplementing — or replacing — their objectives with a
section called «

If you're still using an objective, consider modifying your resume to incorporate a «Professional
Summary» or «

section instead.
While a
qualifications summary or profile
section is the current standard and best practice, many older books and even some college career centers are still teaching students to include an objective.
This experience can be mentioned both in the initial
qualifications summary of your resume and in the career history you include in your «Professional Experience»
section.
This means your resume's branding
section (located just below your contact information), LinkedIn headline and
summary, and cover letter's opening lines must clearly indicate that your experience and highlighted
qualifications are well aligned with the role.

Generally, this type of resume begins with a
summary or profile
section that highlights and emphasizes your job target, your value proposition, key
qualifications, and your major achievements and results to illustrate those
qualifications and value proposition.
After the

Qualifications and Areas of Strength, you may choose to have one or two
sections such as Marketing Experience and Teaching Experience which will allow you to list four or five points under each to demonstrate your knowledge and experience.
It should also be the

The college student or recent college grad, can start off with an Objective, have a brief Profile

Rather than listing out the details of each position for this automotive technician / mechanic, in this example resume we used a twist on the functional format and listed his major
qualifications and achievements in a
summary section that immediately followed the profile.

In the Modified Functional, the resume can start out with a

The hybrid focuses on your value and starts with a

A strong, professionally written resume, however, starts out with a brief

section listing your Areas of Strength or Industry Expertise, then Professional Experience where your career experience for the past 10 - 15 years is focused on and any experience prior to that may be summarized.

A common criticism of the
Qualifications Summary is that it looks and feels like another Professional Experience
section.
Showcase these skills by mentioning them in your cover letter, in «Technologies Utilized»
sections within each position description in your «Professional Experience»
section, and in a dedicated «Technical Proficiencies»
section (which can be incorporated either as part of your initial «
Qualifications Summary» or at the end of your resume).
The easiest way to target your resume (without rewriting the whole resume) is to include a Resume

section at the top of your resume.
Make use of the
qualifications summary If you have early work experience that doesn't merit its own
section but is still relevant, there are other ways to showcase the skills you learned during that time.
