I must say that I find it surprising that as the Editor of
REM, Heino would embrace one business model
over another and demonstrate such a clear bias — even if there was any merit in the argument.
With there being
over 100,000 registrants across Canada, it is too bad that many more than the current numbers who read
REM and who subsequently participate herein, do not take the time to do so, across the board, as you and many, but nowhere near enough, others do.
As previously disclosed here on the pages of
REM for
over three years, Rogers is simply following a tried and true methodology already established by a media company similar to it, the REA Group in Australia.
I have been writing for
REM now for
over a year and I have made many new friends.
REM: When negotiations with the Competition Bureau were still underway, you used a real estate analogy to explain how things might go wrong, referring to real estate transactions that have broken down
over the appliances.
REM: With listing information so easily accessible
over the Internet, how do we move consumers past the perception that the value lies in the information itself, and not the Realtor?
I would also add that due to an established accepted procedural protocol that has developed between
REM and CREA
over the years re these interviews, that there exists an ongoing dynamic between same re the accuracy of the stated positioning of CREA's official policy directions re Realtors» future place in the greater scheme of things.
