You can protect yourself from this by including
an RSS Footer at the bottom of your feed.
I think I will use
that RSS Footer plugin; I do have google alerts on, but only a few sites come up each week (and it is mainly the publishing of my own articles on my own site)-- very weird.
I appreciate the information so much and have already installed
the RSS footer plugin as well as using Google Alerts (as a result of this post).
That is why having
an RSS Footer with your site name, and Google Alerts, makes the most sense.
