Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle was officially revealed to the world, but instead of being this bizarre and anarchic mismatch that people had predicted, it instead looked like a charming little strategic adventure that embraced both the wonder of the world of Mario as well as the craziness of
the Rabbids in the most impressive of ways.
While diehard fans will debate that Rayman deserves a shot, it's the Rabbids who have stolen the show and could provide hours of hilarious gameplay: Who wouldn't want to take on
Rabbids in 100 man melee or endless mode?
We had an executive from Ubisoft here yesterday that I was able to spend some time with, and he told me there was a three plus hour wait for players to get their hands on Mario +
Rabbids in their booth.
Before you know it, time traveling
Rabbids in a washing machine come crashing in.
Challenge your friends to see who can keep up with
the Rabbids in their wacky adventures or invite the Rabbids into your home with augmented reality.
While I enjoyed the world themes and silly predicaments you find
the rabbids in, the Sokoban - style block - pushing puzzles go from too simple to simply tedious.
To go even further, his Final Smash could implement the Raving
Rabbids in some fashion where they joint attack enemies on screen, making for some crazy albeit funny situations during a match.
After this I decided to think about what games the wire actually bothered me on and digging back in my memory I landed on Rayman Raving
Rabbids in which the mini-games sometimes got so hectic that the wire got in the way and Wii Boxing (both in Wii Sports and in Wii Fit).
Following ARMS's release at the end of this week, there's Splatoon 2 in July, Mario +
Rabbids in August, Pokken Tournament DX in September, Super Mario Odyssey in October, and Fire Emblem Warriors, Skyrim and Rocket League also coming around the end of this year.
This game is first Rabbids physic - based game on mobile devices that lets you pilot
a Rabbid in space with the tip of your finger!
But I couldn't do that simply because I then wouldn't have
a Rabbid in battle.
The Donkey Kong tie - in was perhaps a little too obvious given the kong - sized
Rabbid in the game, but at least it adds a new character and a little more than just a story extension.
They really put a dabbing Donkey Kong style
