Its not often I read one of your comments Budd and nod my head in agreement but on this I have to say yu are 100 % on the money Afobe will MAYBE a to notch plyer one day but right now we didthe right thing letting him go, the only thing that I will say is that we have always let players go when the world asked why and on hindsight have been proven right, HOWEVER why have we had players like Diaby on the books when it was clear he would never ever be fit enough to fulfil his potential and why on earth have we currently got Sanogoals or Wellbeck on our books whe its obvious to all and their mothers that neither of these kids will ever be anything other than average squad players at best.

Not surprisingly, as the hand - written letter movement has become the luddite compliment to unlimited digital harassment of college football recruits, recruiting coordinators found a problem: Kids were sharing their huge one - day post office hauls on Twitter and Facebook, but they might have not been actually reading the letters.

The kids have been involved in many activities including: farm school, parkour classes, art classes, ice skating, sledding, trips to the Denver Zoo and Denver Botanic Gardens, horseback riding, entering exhibits in the county fair, lots of time with friends, weekly park days, reading books, hiking, playing lots of board games and computer games (Minecraft FTW!)

I have soooo many things I want to say to you but first bummer for your kids that they have someone other than their mother kissing their boo - boos, and reading them stories and loving on them all day.

But on this Father's Day, consider the wisdom of Carol's message and make time for the stuff that matters most to kids — time to eat together, time to talk, time to do stuff together, even time for what my friend calls «separate togetherness,» where family members do separate things (read, draw, cook, listen to music) but are physically together.

When else will you have all day long to sit and read books to your kids?

You won't feel condemnation for what you're not doing, but you'll read it and feel excitement about the kinds of discussions you can have with your kids to lead them closer to Christ, one day at a time.

So here's a big shout out to all you moms out there who survive those energetic days, who read aloud to your kids even though they are tired, who help with homework, who take your child's education seriously, who take the time to listen to your kids read, who make a difference.

We have friends whose kids are going to the public kindergarten (only 1/2 day) with the «wraparound» enrichment program for the rest of the day; their little ones are already stressed out because they have just 2.75 hours in school, during which they're basically being trampled on with mountains of «instruction,» and the wraparound program gives just 20 minutes for lunch while foregoing rest time in favor of «reading instruction» and «homework help.»

There are plenty of great children's books to read in September or make your own twist on the celebration by challenging your kids to read a new book a day during the month.

If you don't want to end up like Jancee Dunn, who was almost at the point of divorce, as she writes in her new book, How Not to Hate Your Husband After Kids, because she and her husband had «dreamy conversations» about their baby when they were pregnant, but never discussed the day - to - day practicalities, then you might want to read Hoefle's book.

My kid, an avid reader, can not keep up with the kid whose mother fudges the reading log or checks out half of the Juvenile Fiction section on the day the program starts just to sabotage everyone.

Before then however, I have big plans to read at least one Christmas book each day with the kids and either bake or make something Christmassy daily too.

This month's Virtual Book Club for Kids chosen author is Eric Carle and the co-hosts are featuring activities and craft to do with 3 of his books The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The Tiny Seed, The Mixed - Up Chameleon [affiliate links] and we've chosen The Very Hungry Caterpillar and are going to work on a combination of sight words and fine motor skills learning to read the days of the week.

Since the state doesn't give birth to my children, feed them in the night, clothe them, hold them when they're sick, read stories for hours each day, worry when they begin toddling around, and teach them right from wrong, I don't think they should get to decide what my kids learn and what assessments I use to gauge their learning.
