Mertz should never have been our captain in the first place... who has ever heard of a team that makes 11th hour transfer buys (Arteta & Mertz) then seemingly places those same individuals into prominent leadership positions from the get - go... indicative of the problems that have permeated our clubhouse for the better part of 7 years under the Kroenke & Wenger... what is wrong with the players chosen and / or the management style of Wenger that doesn't develop and / or encourage strong leadership from within... Mertz was the fine collecting lackey from year one... this is what happens
when you don't get world - class players because many times they want to have a voice on and off the pitch and this can't happen
when you play for a fragile manager who has developed a coddling wage structure where everyone is rewarded for simply wearing the shirt and participating in the process... not enough balance between performance and pay, combined with the obvious favoritism shown to some players regardless of their glaring lack of production... remember that Ramsey has played in positions that make no sense considering his skill - set (out wide) and has forced other players off the field or into equally unfamiliar positions with little or no justification (let's remember
when you
read articles about how Ramsey's
goals this upcoming season being the potential X-factor for our success that this is the same individual who didn't score a
goal until the final week last season)... this of course is just one example of many... before I hear another word from Mertz I want this club to address the fact that no former player of any real consequence has any important role in the management structure of this club, yet several former Gunners have expressed serious interest in just such an endeavor (Henry, Viera, Adams, Bergkamp... just to name a few legends)... there is only one answer: an extremely insecure manager!!!
They'd rather wait for the one time it fails so they can bash You blame the manager for being favourist yet a fellow blogger praising a player he previously bashed is called being two faced You kill Ramsey for a blind pass attempting to enter the opposition final third yet you won't blame Sanchez for turning over the ball in a pointless dribble with three free team mates You kill metersacker for deflecting a shot into his own net but won't touch kos for getting out of the way of a shot he could have sufficiency blocked You claim with no substantial proof that arteta, mert, Ramsey, can not lead arsenal anywhere substantial yet they have each at a point been a massive cause for stability and progress
when called upon Even after
reading this comment, you will ignore the fact that kos was awful until partnerd with mert, our defensive mid with song leaked more
goals than the one with arteta and we've struggled to win without him at least until late last season.
If your not an Arsenal fan, you may say Ozil should be happy then, his chances are being converted, but we Gunners know that to be false, in fact our profligacy in front of
goal is abysmal, right now roughly 1 out of every 8 chances Ozil creates is converted, now that doesn't make for great
reading, but it gets even worse
when you think about it deeper.

Reading game where Theo scored 3 of our 7

Look gentlemen this WAS an extremely well written and well researched article and has to rank as one of the best Ive
read in many a long year, Howvever
when all of the «in depth analysis» has been done it really boils down to two points and two points only, 1) Our strikers (namely Walcott, Giroud, Welbeck and Cambel) just did nt score enough
goals when it really mattered, 2) our defence made too many mistakes that allowed too many
goals to be scored against us
when it mattered.
if it isn't broken don't fix it and forget the
goals, Ox still has parts of his game he needs to work on like being consistent during games (

when both were close to the 8yard box n barely 5yards from one another.

Great Reception???, tell you the truth Im not one of those gunners who started supporting the gunners during the invicibles or early Wenger double winning years, quite honestly i wasnt ineterested in football and I liked a certain Crespo and Shevchenko meaning I liked the blue half of London, surprisingly
when Mourinho joined I stopped watching football all together, till one glorious Champions League Night, It was my first ever Match there was a certain 20 year old highly rated youngster who scored a wonder
goal that day he played with such skill and passion ever since then I started supporting arsenal that was during the barren years.I actually liked Barcelona because of their similarity with the arsenal, so
when Fabregas joined Barca I started to watch them a bit more I still loved Arsenal and I was extremely passionate, the other players i adored left in painful manners, while some left which was still painful: i.e Eboue.I always taught cesc would come back and
when it was official he was leaving Barca i said Finally almost hosting a party.Well reports started coming out that he is going to join chelsea and i laughed so hard and said he would be the last player on earth to do that,
when it became official words cant express how i felt, He was the reason I started watching football he lit up the emirates with exquisite touches through balls to walcott, its a shame I would have preferred he joined bayern, or remained in barca its terrible
reading the comments he made recently about the emirates, This was a captain, someone who led, anyways, like ive learnt and Arsenal have learnt, We do nt live in the past Like Liverpool (no pun) WE ARE THE PRESENT AND THE FUTURE (Crowley)(Puma) WE ARE ARSENAL.....
I laughed

Reading and Sunderland's problems in front of
