boards that failed to get the critical vote required were: Fraser Valley
Real Estate Board (75 per cent required and only 63 per cent of those who voted were in favour); Kamloops & District
Real Estate Association (75 per cent vote
needed and 70 per cent of those voting favoured the merger); and Okanagan - Mainland
Real Estate Board (67 per cent
needed and 56 per cent vote acquired).
Yet his planned changes to 421 - a, which expires in June and would
need renewal in Albany, has solid backing from the
Real Estate Board of New York.
One influential leader, Steven Spinola, president of the
Real Estate Board of New York, said, «I believe the business community
needs to stand up and support a fiscally responsible budget.»

needs to be told by someone in authority that it should stop with the compliance kick it is on when it comes to organized
real estate and its member
boards.
