do wish I could afford to totally

kitchen, it is OK, but very outdated now.
Since I only have one

Then eventually (as our budget would allow) we wanted to add crown molding (it doesn't even have it around the windows), built in bookcases, a gas fireplace,
kitchen redo, and add a half bath.
Try craigslist, a friend of mine found her's used there, or talk to friends, another friend
did the same as me, we started asking friends if they knew anyone
redoing their
kitchen and managed to find her great cabinents for free also!
Even though we
did eventually decide that it would be better in our case to
redo our
kitchen and
do it sooner rather than later (I can't wait to share more about our project!)

I just

What most of us ordinary people must deal with is either older homes in dreadful rundown condition, that need EVERYTHING — paint, new siding, totally
redone kitchens, new bathrooms, repairs to everything, new furnace, water heater, roof, etc. — OR cost a fortune (because someone else
did the remodeling for you)-- OR more likely we have something much more modern, without any character or architectural detail to begin with.
What I'd really like to
do is Photoshop my oak
kitchen cabinets white and then
redo my busy ceiling.
I have been wanting to

kitchen I thought why it is perfect and beautiful the way it is, you can't improve it, well unbelievable but you

I don't have an island, but when we
redid our
kitchen many years ago, we added a piece of counter / cabinet so that side looks like an «L» now.
I'm about to
redo my very dated 1960's
kitchen in a few months and I definetly think I'll
do some open shelving in my new
kitchen.

Of course I could say that the biggest way we've made our home a more enjoyable place to live is
doing the big remodeling projects like

kitchen or adding in hardwood floors or painting everything white (still loving the walls, by the way).

I'm so excited - we are having the electrician out tomorrow to add the extra circuit for the range hood and microwave - so we when we
redo our
kitchen we can mount the microwave over the stove and free up what limited valuable counter space we
do have.

We are about to buy a home that currently
does not have a white
kitchen but we want to
redo it.
There's so many decisions to be made, and they need to be made with a great deal of forethought because for most of us, a
kitchen redo is something we will
do once and be
done
we are going to be
doing a
kitchen redo and everyone wants me to
do concrete but i have no idea how i would like it.
We're going to be
