The ability of Texas Sweeties Dog
Rescue (TSDR) to
accept an
owner surrender is based on the availability of a willing foster and we typically work with shelters.
Please understand that we will also need pictures of your dog, your vet's contact information, and an
owner surrender form must be filled out prior to being able to
accept the dog into our
rescue.
Currently, Releashed
Rescue is NOT
accepting owner surrenders.
They handle
rescue dogs only and do not
accept owner - surrendered animals.

owners, shelters, and other rescuers.

Rescue programs
accept Golden Retrievers from surrendering
owners who can no longer care for the dog and from shelters to which the dog may have been surrendered or have been a stray.
We also
accept owner placements, where
owners are seeking to rehome their dogs without the assistance of
rescue groups, as well as placements by private rescuers and
rescue groups.
We
accept owner surrenders as well as strays directly off the streets or from local shelters and
rescue organizations.
An animal shelter may
accept animals from: (1) the
owner of the animal where the
owner signs a relinquishment form which states he or she is the
owner of the animal; (2) an animal shelter licensed under this Act; or (3) an out - of - state animal control facility,
rescue group, or animal shelter that is duly licensed in their state or is a not - for - profit organization.
Unfortunately, Mayday Pit Bull
Rescue does not have the resources to
accept owner surrenders.
Due to limited resources, we are unable to
accept owner surrender dogs into
rescue at this time.
We
accept owner surrenders as well as
rescue dogs from shelters and other
rescue organizations.
For daytime use only, and not for permanent, overnight or extreme weather use, Border Collie
Rescue is happy to
accept an additional option of an outside traditional kennel within a secure run, yard or enclosure where a dog may stay while it's
owners are absent for short periods or when it is appropriate for the dog to be placed away from hazards in a working environment.
While most of the time we will not
accept owner surrenders into the
rescue, they will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

Owner surrender dogs will not be
accepted — they will be asked to contact other shelters and
rescue groups, rehome the dog if possible, or hang on to the dog for a few weeks.
Not all breeders will
accept «returns», so choices for giving up dogs can be limited to animal welfare organizations, such as
rescues, or the
owners trying to place their own dogs.
This means that
owner surrenders are
accepted when extra room becomes available at the
rescue, and can not be guaranteed.

accepting every healthy cat who comes through your door, you can empower citizens to resolve issues that may make them want to relinquish the cat and share resources to help them keep the cat until there is space at the shelter, find the cat's
owner, find a new home for the cat, or look for a
rescue organization that may be able to help.
