Note that all of Chase's cards that earn Ultimate
Rewards points and several of their co-branded cards are subject what's often called the «5/24» rule, which means that if you have applied for 5 or more personal cards (business cards do not

points from Chase Ultimate
Rewards (or from anywhere else) will not

But SPG isn't a transfer partner of anyone other than itself (unless you

Any
points credited to Marriott
Rewards, be they transfers in,
points earned from credit card spend or even
points purchased from Marriott, all
count towards lifetime status.

pointed out on Reddit, it's an easy way to earn Rapid
Rewards that will
count towards the Southwest Companion Pass.

There is also a note in today's announcement that
reward flights will
count towards status — but they aren't clear if that is flight segments or
points earned on the real fare of the ticket you are using Elevate
points for.
Keep in mind that digital downloads (starting at 100
points)
count as «
point redemption», so I don't even have to spend for a
rewards night stay!
