Buddy up with

This 55 mile (90 kilometre) turquoise chain of
ribbon reefs is the most prized
dive region in the northern section of the Great Barrier
Reef.

dive spot in the
Ribbons Reefs, the Pixie Pinnacle is only about 15 meters in diameter but the area is toured by liveaboards because of its spectacular marine life, making the Pixie Pinnacle ideal and best for both day and night diving.

In this newsletter we feature minke whales and in a couple of months they will start flooding the
dive sites of the
Ribbon Reefs in Australia's Great Barrier

Besides the fact, that you can
dive at old shipwrecks and beautiful coral
reefs in all kind of colours, you can also see various species of fish like Lord Howe Coralfish, Gold
Ribbon Groupers and one of the world's largest stingray species.
A calm shallow
reef dive with clear viz and a sandy bottom, this site is crammed with marine life all along the
reef, you can see hundreds of stingrays such as blue spotted rays,
ribbon and moray eels, schools of boxfish and batfish, dragonets and octopuses, as well as several varieties of macro critters and crustaceans like shrimps.
Departing Cairns at noon on Mondays, there's two introductory
dives that afternoon before the 37m (122 feet) Spirit of Freedom powers up and motors 240 km north to the
Ribbon Reefs.
