I feel a bit let down by
the Riddler puzzles.
While the package was bulked up by
the Riddler puzzles and the myriad side missions, a lengthier, more engaging storyline and fewer extras would have been infinitely preferable.
What's the point in having 400
Riddler puzzles and 400 Challenge trophies to earn when they're more trouble than they're worth?

Riddler Challenges are once again back and offer the player over 200 different
puzzles to solve which does break up the main storyline.
As the
Riddler would say to Batman... «
Puzzle me this»: Let's say you wanted your wife to have sex with you on demand.
Tons of backtracking through the same locations (GCPD, Subways, Zsasz, Steel Mill,
Riddler trophies /
puzzles).
Following on from last year's Batman: The Telltale Series, Episode 1: The Enigma sees both Bruce Wayne and Batman
puzzling over how to defeat the
Riddler.
The
Riddler's role in Arkham City feels far more fleshed out before, with his trophies now often having small but cunning
puzzles to solve to gain access.
And once you've cleared that, the challenge rooms and the
Riddler's
puzzles will ensure you have reasons to come back to the game, although there's no real reason to start the story mode from scratch, save for achievements and maybe to experience the story once more.
There will also be more
puzzles, criminal gangs to take down, and more
riddler challenges.
Because it's the big new gameplay feature in Arkham Knight, The
Riddler has set up a series of Batmobile time trials for you to complete alongside some other vehicle - focused
puzzle rooms.
The game also has instances where a level may have sequences in it that are not in the home console version (for instance, a musical instrument
puzzle laid out by The
Riddler in the first level does not appear in the home console version).
As Batman, throughout your one night in Gotham City you'll face some of the most twisted and devious of villains... and also, The
Riddler AKA guy who leaves green question marks everywhere, wastes money on elaborate
puzzles and race tracks, and doesn't seem to know what a riddle actually is (as you'll hear Batman's special lady exclaim).
Why does the
Riddler take the time and presumably money to set up tiny, irritating
puzzles all over Gotham in order to improve his arch enemy's skills?
Detective Mode also plays into solving the many
puzzles left around Arkham by the
Riddler.
We also get a look at the
Riddler's challenges in «Batman: Arkham Knight,» including a combination racetrack /
puzzle designed to test Batman — and the player's — intellectual might.
