I roasted yams with carrots, apple, broccoli, cauliflower, garlic and spices.

roasted with olive oil, salt and pepper.

roasted are a great combo and this is a wonderful way to use your
yams, or at least that's what the photos looks like... Mr. smartie - pants (that's me) says
yams are sweeter than sweet potatoes believe it or not, the higher starch content converts during cooking making the sugars... I love both, grilled sweet potatoes are an all time favorite
with steaks
While the beets are
roasting, toss the
yams in a bowl
with a little olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Divide the black rice between your bowls, and top
with the kale,
roasted yams, and sauteed cauliflower.
This sauce is not only great on salads and vegetables but also really nice
with grilled chicken or white fish, as a dipping sauce for
roasted potatoes and
yam fries, added to vegetable soups or just smothered on a chunk of sourdough.

For turnips, parsnips, beets, sweet potatoes,
yams, rutabagas, or sunchokes I would peel using a vegetable peeler, poke
with a fork, and
roast in the oven on 375F (190.5 C) for twenty to fourty - five minutes.
Serve
with roasted, steamed or sautéed vegetables, and for additional carbohydrates in this is a post-workout meal or on a high volume day, serve
with a baked sweet potato,
yam or sweet potato fries.
Roasted yam, asparagus, corn, red pepper and onion, chick peas and sriracha hummus
with a simple mix of balsamic, Dijon, and olive oil over greens.
I
roast a whole organic chicken,
with roasted yams, then add peas and pumpkin and run it all through the food processor.
