rug for your entryway and those high traffic areas.
Perhaps the simplest way to bring your own personality to a
kitchen is to add a pattern you love through
runners, throw
rugs, window treatments (tea towels can make adorable cafe curtains) or hand towels on hooks.
I am currently looking for a Persian
rug runner for the
kitchen as well but am a bit confused regarding length.
Actually, I think adding a matching
rug under the table or a
runner that goes the length of the dining area into the
kitchen area (right side of photo would bring the two areas together.
I originally was going to use both
runners at the same time in the
kitchen and hall area but until the
kitchen is painted I am not 100 % certain where the
rugs will go.
To define the dining area from the
kitchen beyond, the end wall has been painted a deeper shade of lilac to the rest of the room, and lilac touches, such as a
rug and striped table
runner, help to further define the eating zone.
