The House Agriculture and
Rural Development Committee on April 11 voted 14 - 1 in favor of a bill that has the wide support of the U.S. veterinary profession.
Arguments in favor of this bill have been inconsistent and senate author Charles Wyrick (D - Fairland) argued in the senate agriculture and
rural development committee against rules which he knew had already been removed from the bill.
Senate author Charles Wyrick (D - Fairland) has denied that the rules proposed by the new board largely mirror the USDA regulations, and on February 21 Wyrick argued in the Senate Agriculture and
Rural Development Committee against mandates which were no longer in the proposed rules, focusing on details which he acknowledged had been removed.
