SPG Starpoints, you'll have plenty of options to earn lots of miles for your next award flight.

SPG but not with the other three big
transfer programs: Ultimate Rewards, Membership Rewards, and ThankYou Rewards.
If you happen to live in a city with a direct American Airlines flight to Orlando, you can book that flight with British Airways Avios (a Chase and
SPG transfer partner) for
as low
as 15,000 Avios (points) per roundtrip ticket!
And
as far
as hotel
partners go, I'd roll with Ultimate Reward
partners Hyatt, Marriott, and IHG over the
transfer ratios for
SPG and Hilton.
Asiana mies are not the easiest to earn
as they only have one
transfer partner,
SPG Starpoints which
transfer at a 1:1 ratio.
Chase does not have
as an extensive list of
transfer partners as SPG, but they do have some options not offered by Starwood, such
as Hyatt.
Unlike other domestic carriers such
as United, Delta, Jet Blue, and Southwest, American is not a
transfer partner to any major rewards program (
SPG aside).
Since the start of 2015, Membership Rewards introduced a 30 % rebate when you use an Amex Business Platinum card to Pay With Points,
SPG just added Korean Air
as a
transfer partner, and Citibank has completely revamped ThankYou Rewards to the point that it's a true competitor.
Or, for those of you short on American Airlines miles,
SPG is the only flexible points program with American
as a
transfer partner.
They do not have nearly
as many
transfer partners as SPG.
The 50,000 airline miles are deposited to an airline of your choice,
as long
as it is one of
SPG's
transfer partners with a 1:1 ratio.
Etihad miles are easy to accrue
as Etihad Guest is a 1:1
transfer partner of Citi ThankYou Points,
SPG Starpoints, and Amex Membership Rewards.
United is identified
as transfer partner above, but
SPG transfers to United at 2:1 not 1:1.
