jar of Heinz chili
sauce (near the ketchup) instead
of BBQ
sauce..
I mean, most tahini
sauces are pretty darn good, but this time I randomly decided to unceremoniously dump the remains
of my
jar of capers into the blender, and holy yum, you should try it
out.
So, freshly home from our trip and with not much food in the fridge, it was time to bring
out a
jar of that heavenly
sauce for a simple pasta meal.
It was a beautiful way to spend a day, and the experience
of pulling
out a
jar of your own tomato
sauce in winter time is about a million times better than opening up a
jar of Prego.
But, I've also seen
jarred caramel
sauce at stores
out of the fridge that contain only milk, sugar and butter, so I perhaps my information is off.
A great
sauce for baked tofu, as a dip for veggies, slathering onto any protein, eating straight
out of the
jar with a spoon.
Off to take
out my Chicken Alfredo and Spinach Lasagna
out of the oven — its semi-homemade — I cheated and used
jarred Alfredo
sauce!
I know it's easy to just buy
sauces in
jars, and there are a lot
of good ones
out there.

of sliced white mushrooms, but broccoli, peapods, or any others you like would work as well 4 tablespoons Pad Thai
sauce, more to taste ** 1/3 cup peanuts, chopped 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped 1 lime, cut into wedges * you could alternatively use chicken or shrimp if you're not a tofu fan ** I used a
jarred pad thai

I'm not used to getting so much flavor

jarred sauce, this one was quite a surprise.
The real star
of the show here is the dressing, an herb - forward tahini
sauce that you'll want to eat right
out of the
jar.
A shelf in my garage contain

sauce (and more that I haven't moved
out there yet).
Then I put a little bit
of water in the
Jar to get the rest
of the
sauce out (1 / 4c -1 / 2c water).

sauces, whether on a steak or
out of a
jar; curries laden with sugar and yoghurt; even tabbouleh (it's the bulgar wheat).
