For school business leaders who participate in the NCSL
School Business Management qualifications, i.e. CSBM, DSBM, ADSBM etc this way of working is encouraged amongst participant communities and is an important aspect of the blended learning approach.
They have helped more schools move to academy status without disrupting education and have come together to secure formal recognition for their roles, culminating in the publication of national professional standards in November and the launch of the National
School Business Management Qualifications Board under the stewardship of NASBM.

School Business Management Qualifications The School Business Management (SBM) programmes run by the National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL) have been instrumental in developing the skills and leadership potential of the profession, training over 11,500 since their introduction in 2002.

school, college, university, or other educational institution or institution of learning is, in whole or in substantial part, owned, supported, controlled, or managed by a particular religion or by a particular religious corporation, association, or society, or if the curriculum of such
school, college, university, or other educational institution or institution of learning is directed toward the propagation of a particular religion.
School leavers can also become
management accountants by studying for the CIMA Certificate in
Business Accounting before moving on to the Professional
Qualification.
However, there are some very specialised degrees (eg computer games development) and some
school leaver programmes that include studying for some quite broad
qualifications (such as the BA in
business management and leadership offered by Barclays on its higher apprenticeship programme).
Qualifications: high
school degree with courses in secretarial skills; five years experience in office
management or responsible secretarial work; or an Associates degree in
business administration or a related field and two years experience in office
management.
