Just how important Brexit has been as a recruiting sergeant for the
Conservatives becomes even clearer if we
look separately at the evolution of the
Conservative vote between, first, 2015 and the
Scottish Parliament election in May 2016, and, second, between May 2016 and the UK general election in June this year.
