In the first indication of how Scotland might
vote, Survation put the
Scottish Tories at 28 % and Panelbase on 33 %,
figures the party last managed more than three decades ago.
Dugdale's proposal aims to save the union from what she sees as a UK Tory government and
Scottish SNP government both intent on pulling it apart — albeit even some notable Labour
figures such as former first minister Henry McLeish have said they would back a Yes
vote in a second
Scottish independence referendum.
With a week to go until the
Scottish Parliament elections Ipsos MORI have published their latest
Scottish voting intention
figures.
Roughly ninety percent of «Yes» voters
voted for the
Scottish National Party (SNP) in 2015, including most of those who had still intended to
vote Labour early in 2014 (see
figure 1).
Figures published by the
Scottish Conservatives show Mr Salmond has attended Westminster to
vote twice since being elected to the
Scottish parliament in May.
