I don't plan it this way, but I always seem to start
my seasonal decorating on this sideboard in our entryway.

seasonal dinner party she just threw (to which I wasn't invited), using some table linens her three perfect kids
decorated themselves with stamps they carved from potatoes.

on top of a shelf in our entry area, along with a bit of fall decor... I'm still in the process of getting all our fall
seasonal decor out, but it's the last big weekend at the cottage, so I'll have to finish everything after Labor Day... No, I do not believe in witches, but autumn and Halloween is one of the few times out of the year that I go a step further in
decorating for the season... Below our entry shelf, we have our handy entry bench, which really comes in handy in the late fall and winter for putting
on our boots.
In the past, I would spend a ton of time and a small fortune
on our
seasonal and holiday
decorating, and after awhile it seemed to be more of a burden and headache than an enjoyable experience for our family.
Do what feels best to you like I've done with light,
seasonal decorating just to make a simple change that will put a smile
on your face when you walk into the room.

Most of us are especially busy during the holiday season with shopping and family meals,
decorating the house and trimming the tree, hosting parties and overnight guests and we're
on the move more, visiting family and friends or attending
seasonal festivities.
The crisp, sweet smell of apples in the air... pumpkins

I'm not big
on overdoing the
seasonal decorating but it's the first Fall doo - dad I put out this year and I think it's magnificent.

I figured I'd jump back
on the blogging wagon with some simple
seasonal decorating.
I have a buffet that I keep a «
seasonal tablescape»
on — just got finised
decorating it for spring with mostly pink dishes.
The secret to
decorating with ease and without having to store a bunch of excess
seasonal stuff is to have a few basic foundational elements
on hand that you can effortlessly adapt for any season!
Being from the Northwest I tend to
decorate with a rustic flair, but I think this wreath would also look great
on a cabin door, fall mantle or even a
seasonal wall hanging!
Paying for all of our expenses, including grad school loans for two people,
on one income does not leave a lot of room in the budget for
seasonal decorating.

on seasonal decorating, and, I am linking in to Leigh's blog, Tales from Bloggeritaville, because I am sure that 10 cents for the candles qualifies as thrifty and so might the chargers... thrifty might not always work out to be a great bargain though.
As I said in a recent blog post, I'm never going back to stressful
seasonal decorating and I know my new mantra is going to be put to the test with Christmas
on it's way but we can do this together friends!
