have to get ready for the cold and very wet

With it being the height of August, I'm reveling in the last little bit of summer
weather and summer style that we
've been enjoying here in
Seattle.
The
weather is finally turning nice in
Seattle and I
've been taking full advantage with lunch hour walks.
Also, husband's night classes are now Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday which makes it tough to get outside and take photos in the GORGEOUS

This skirt
has been a recent staple in my wardrobe since the
weather warmed up (Hello 85 in
Seattle!
I absolutely love maxi skirts for spring and summer, and I was so excited to be able to wear one since it
has been the first warm and sunny day this whole year (they're not lying when they say
Seattle weather is always rainy!)
I couldn't
have imagined a better way to celebrate Easter and welcome in this gorgeous
weather, and I can't wait to see what else my first
Seattle spring
has in store for me.
I could not live without my trench coat, especially with all the rainy
weather we
have in
Seattle.
It's the opposite in
Seattle — we only
have a few months of warm
weather, but I'm always drawn to pretty tanks like this one!
Although maybe not perfect for
Seattle weather yet, I can still see myself pairing this with a cardigan or any outerwear and

have found the old saying, «If you don't like the

Seattle, just wait five minutes» to be true, so I wear tons of layers, like cardigans over tanks or jackets over blouses.

It is Fall in
Seattle and I am embracing the fall sweater
weather we are
having.
Like
Seattle, Portland
has a thing about washing machines, but unlike
Seattle, it
has better
weather.
I grew up in
Seattle, and even the
weather knew that it
had to whip up a special order for Christmas.
As long as climatologists extrapolate temperature data from
Seattle, or Toronto to show temperatures in the arctic, because we «just don't
have enough
weather stations,» the question will never go away.
