sea snakes, nudiebranchs, lionfish of many variations, scorpionfish, leaf scorpionfish, white reef sharks and on the lucky days we
see mantas, eagle rays and yes whale sharks!!!
Like many dives on the Great Barrier Reef, it is possible to
see a host of marine life here including turtles, rays,
sea snakes and groupers.
There's another aquarium and reptile rescue centre in Hersonissos, where kids can
see rescued
sea turtles, and touch the lizards and
snakes, or you could head to the water park for some slides.
THIS WEEK IN LEMBONGAN... Having fun with the Mantas again,

Sea snakes, Nudis, shrimp and macro fun and some of our guys were lucky enough to stumble upon a bamboo shark.

Be awed during 2 early morning dives on the yongala wreck where you will
see huge groupers, big rays, turtles,

Seeing first a
sea snake and then a turtle on the Indonesian island of Gili Trawangan had to be two of the most life - affirming swims of my life — for very different reasons.
Wonderful barrel sponges and gorgonians can be
seen in the deeper waters, and
sea snakes can be
seen on almost every dive.
The bay is also known for its abundance of turtles, although I wasn't lucky enough to
see one this time (read about my close encounters with
sea snakes and turtles in Gili Trawangan, Indonesia), no matter how desperate I was to catch a glimpse of one.

Some of the marine life
seen during the dive included: Banded
Sea Snake, Day Octopus, Hawksbill Turtle and smaller creatures, like the Bargibanti Pygmy Seahorse, nudibranchs, five different kinds of flatworms, headshield slug, Hairy Shrimp and even a nocturnal Epaulette Shark.
Elsewhere, in the many sheltered bays, especially Belongas Bay and up near Kuta the diving varies according to site and offers coral gardens, walls and caves where you can
see anything from the big stuff taking shelter from the current, through the usual mid-sized reef fish down to
sea snakes and pygmy seahorses and nudis.
Sea snakes and octopus (Octopus vulgaris) can be spotted inside the crevices in bommies but be careful because the extremely venomous greater blue - ringed octopus has been
seen in this area.
I
saw commensal, squat and cleaner shrimps, beautiful nudibranchs, a juvenile scorpionfish, garden eels, and a
sea snake (which I'm scared of but I love to watch them swimming away; — RRB --RRB-.
Although at one point, participation in a seer's gloriously bonkers ritual leads to a hallucinogen - induced dream - trip that
sees Bayek taking on a giant
sea -
