The artists
selected represent a wide range of experiences and painting styles, but are connected by the Kemper Museum's philosophical focus on investigating the
history of the gesture in painting and in creating a conceptual and art historic bridge from the 20th to the 21st century in both

The
exhibition features the photographic opus «The
Selected Gifts (1974 — 2015)», a collection of 67 photographs documenting the
history of gifts the artist received over a period of 41 years.
Selected by the Los Angeles artist Sam Durant, whose work often deals with political and cultural subjects in American
history, the
exhibition includes more than 155 posters, newspapers, and prints dating from 1966 to 1977, as well as a small - scale mural that reprises one of Douglas's vintage images.

Condorelli has long engaged with the architecture and context of the
exhibition space, building modular furniture and reflecting on the
history of the institutions where she is showing, a fitting choice for this
exhibition, then, which celebrates curatorial and artistic work as always related in ways that go beyond any traditional sense of curating as a practice of caring and
selecting.

Selected, each member of staff was invited to delve into the Sean Kelly archives and choose two works that touched, surprised, inspired, intrigued, or perhaps even unsettled them from the
history of the gallery's
exhibitions or the gallery's collection.
On the basis of works

exhibition Beweis zu nichts at Kunsthalle Wien and the permanent collection at the Jewish Museum Vienna, this tour reflects on the function and materialisation of collective memory and the possibilities and importance of remembrance and
