Patients with psoriasis are often lured into taking pharmaceutical drugs because of their rapid
effect, yet are not generally informed in my opinion about the side
effects that often occur, especially when a
systemic drug is taken for
severe psoriasis.
Systemic effects seen in patients with severe pancreatitis include fever, systemic vasodilation leading to hypotension and sometimes acute renal failure, pulmonary edema leading to respiratory failure, disseminated intravascular coagulation, and in some cases multi-organ

A plasma transfusion is sometimes given to dogs in moderate to
severe cases in the hopes that it will inhibit active pancreatic enzymes and
systemic inflammatory response; it also provides clotting factors that can help prevent and treat disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), an often lethal potential side
effect of pancreatitis.
