series throughout the original trilogy and into Andromeda.

I was really impressed with SFMOMA's New Work
series, so I said, «Hey, let's do a new works
show together» — I want the Wattis to be an active participant in a group
conversation.
In this
conversation, held on May 9, 2016, as part of the Works in Progress
series at the National Gallery of Art, Mora discusses the National Arts Club exhibition of Timeline in relation to her full body of work with the
show's curator, Magda González - Mora, and National Gallery of Art curatorial assistant Michelle Bird.
«In 2005 the Rubells had a
series of
conversations with artists Kelly Walker and Wade Guyton, who talked about the generosity of some artists in the nature of their work. Walker and Guyton described how artists like Cady Noland, Andy Warhol, Marcel Duchamp and Richard Prince opened doors for other artists like themselves to walk through. The Rubells had never heard that opinion expressed as honestly before.  This
show was borne out of those
conversations, and its title comes from a quote attributed to Picasso: «Good artists borrow, great artists steal.»
The one - night - only screening / exhibition /
conversation series «Chatrooms» continues, this time, with an all - female
show of GIFs, videos, and images curated by Faith Holland and Nora O Murchú.
Presented for the first time in 1995 at the Serpentine Gallery in London — and in varying iterations in Paris, Copenhagen, and New York from 2015 on — the exhibition grew out of a
series of
conversations between curator Hans Ulrich Obrist and artist Christian Boltanski about the need to rethink how artworks are
shown.
It didn't seem to matter that This is Exchange, his contribution to the
show, was nothing more than a
series of unostentatious
conversations, devised in 2003, in which spectators were offered money to engage in a
conversation about the economy with his local collaborators, in an otherwise empty white space.

Thea Liberty Nichols: Â Youâ $ ™ re right on target in thinking that the
show evolved through a
series of ongoing
conversations, but ultimately, Dahlia came up with the idea.
She is a recent graduate of Bard College International Center of Photography where she earned an M.F.A. in Advanced Photographic Studies, and has exhibited internationally and regionally in solo and group
shows including, The Exquisite Landscape, ICP, New York; Interiority Complex: A
Conversation Series, Camera Club of New York, New York; and «Wrestling with the Image: Caribbean Interventions», organized by the World Bank and the OAS, and «About Change».

conversation and discussion, and the recording of this narrative, is integral to their art practice — Their biggest challenge to date was the curation of «The Rest of Now» for Manifesta 7 in 2008 — The group likes to use words that leave the reader asking questions and for them, words have no hierarchy — The installation Skirmish (2010) is part of an ongoing
series of «love stories» — Time is often explored in artwork by Raqs and is a concept that particularly interests the group; they discuss Escapement — A
show at Experimenter Gallery in February, 2011, is announced as well as a new light sculpture, Revoltage.
Mostly the
show read like a
series of discordant arguments, rather than works in
conversation with each other.
During a
conversation at the museum with assistant curator Saisha Grayson, and the
show's organizer, the artist described the mash up of Eastern and Western influences, such as the Indian comic book
series Amar Chitra Katha, Archie comics, Green Lantern and Max Ernst's illustrations amongst other sources, which shaped her forms and characters.
(A second part of the
show — the «lit» in the «TILL, LIT» title — is a
series of sculptures inspired by police towers in his neighborhood of Harlem, but was still under wraps at the time of our
conversation.)
Through a
series of
conversations, Gonzalez - Foerster and Wyn Evans explored this influence of the cinematic as a theme for the
show, and then expanded the exhibition through selected diverse works from filmmakers, writers and artists.
On the occasion of her first solo museum
show, and as part of the phenomenal
series of FOCUS
shows at The Modern in Fort Worth curated by Alison Hearst, Katherine and I had the chance to revisit with each other and have a
conversation.
These
conversations with Alonzo turned into Kindred Spirits, a
series that made its debut in Varejão's solo
show at Dallas Contemporary in September of 2015.
