siding with certain characters offers — turn down Vito, for example, and you will have to pay a princely sum the next time you're trapped in a firefight and
require his goons as reinforcements.
Simply completing the
story gets the first ending; the second ending includes finishing the
story plus most
side missions; and lastly, the third ending
requires completing the

side missions and snagging everything The Riddler has placed in Gotham.
I did find that the main
story quest was forgotten at times primarily because it
required some experience level progression before you were able to achieve some of the goals, leading to focus shifting to the
side quests for lengthy periods.
Some will join you during the main
story but others
require side quests.
That isn't through the
story - driven characters that appear alongside you either, instead
requiring you to communicate with the demonic foes that you encounter in the hope that you can persuade them to fight by your
side.

One criticism is that many
side quests
require the late game abilities to fully explore, so if you do decide to do them before completing the main
story, you will find yourself becoming quite annoyed with back - tracking.
Some of these quests are
required to continue onto the main
story, but there are also random
side quests scattered throughout the many areas you will discover during your time in the game.
There are, fortunately enough, a large number of
side jobs and other assorted tasks to complete outside of the main
story, each
requiring you to travel to different parts of the city.
Not
requiring the original game disc to be used at all, this
side -
story takes place exclusively on a single revamped island from the original game, and features a new power set to go with Cole's new, vampy look.
There are a number of
side quests that are not
required to move the main storyline along but they do allow players to pick up addition experience and treasure and gives some freedom of choice in the
story.
Though the
story - based
side quests all have a different
story behind them and introduce you to different NPCs, they do tend to
require you to perform the usual Assassin's Creed rituals of sneak, spy, fetch and kill.
This time around the variety of
side missions will have you wanting to complete them all and aren't
required to do like the previous game to unlock a
story mission.
Side quests have you doing Wacky Fun Video Game Things and then a
story quest will
require you to take on Some Painful Emotional Weight and there's simply no line between the two.
These rare moments whether they were part of the main
story or just a
side mission I was doing are just not fun and
require more time than they are worth.
If then, as both
sides have it, politics
requires the earnestness of a detective
story, first the facts.
And his bold compositions definitely convey some semblance of a
story — albeit one that seems to come in from the
side rather than straight on — conjuring the dream logic of reorganized time and
requiring the viewer to «take part in the construction of the meaning.»
