As a former athlete, I can
tell you there are many advantages of barefoot or «zero heel» shoes (quicker acceleration due to
simple physics / range of motion, less ankle sprains because there is no «ledge» for you ankle to roll over), but most importantly, as we get older it's better for our joints and low back.
It could break ground and it could defy
physics but as long as the idea is super
simple enough that I can
tell my Mum, then that's a great idea.»
