A lot of people have really been loving the American Express Business Platinum card
since it was updated last year to include a 50 % points rebate on all business class flights (and one chosen
airline for economy flights) when booked with points through the Amex
portal.
The only reasons to use Expedia Rewards in my opinion are if (1) you go through a cash back
portal to earn even more or (2) you book and redeem for flights
since these still earn
airline miles.
You should be booking your paid
airline tickets through Travelocity anyway,
since they offer 2 Chase Ultimate Rewards points per dollar through the Ultimate Rewards shopping
portal.
Since you are not required to use
airline co-branded cards on their shopping
portals *, I was able to pay with my American Express SPG card.
