Wow, this peanut butter tasted totally different even from
Skippy Natural Super Chunk Peanut Butter.
On a side note, with wholesome oats and
the Skippy Natural chunky peanut butter I used, these cookies are a great treat.

I hate most natural peanut butters, but love
Skippy Natural (probably too much).

Should it be something w sugar in it like a
Skippy or Jif or an all
natural no sugar added PB.
Do you use the
natural peanut butter (thinner and runny) or the thicker brands with sugar like
skippy?

natural peanut butter because that's all I had on hand and I was short about two tablespoons so I added two more tablespoons of sugar figuring that's about how much sugar would have been in the
Skippy and they turned out AWESOME!!!

i'd add the powdered sugar about 1/2 a cup then see if you need more since
natural peanut butter is usually thicker than brands like Jif and
Skippy.

natural stuff, but I use
Skippy for baking.

Having lived rather extensively overseas, the PB you get ex-US is either super mass produced (read
Skippy and Peter Pan, not even always Jif) or «
natural» with a lovely (NOT) layer of separated oil on top.
I hate my grocery store here cause all they sell is Jiff,
Skippy (which I don't mind sometimes), Peter Pan, and this nasty
natural stuff that I'm sure taste like bark.
They are super simple, just PB, sugar, egg and salt (if the PB is unsalted) and they work better with the «
natural» style peanut butter than with the creamy - typical sweetened - hydrogenated
Skippy - Peter Pan type.
I used 1/2 cup regular
Skippy and 1/2 Kirkland brand
natural peanut butter and they set up perfectly... not sure how long they'll be around, though!
Note: You want to use peanut butter like Kraft or
Skippy's, not the
natural peanut butters where the nut butter and the oil separates.
I made these they were okay i used
natural Skippy peanut butter tossed in some dry roasted peanuts along with some bitter sweet chips and semi sweet chips I will add some salt next time if I use
natural peanut butter I rolled these in freezer wrap and froze over night and cut them in 1/2 inch slices they did not spread and I thought they looked perfect and they were loved at work
