Skyrim is definitely one of the best games of 2011, but if the DLC holds out, it might just be one of the best games of 2012 as well.

Soon we'll be playing Skyrim, Modern Warfare 3, Skyward Sword and Assassin's Creed Revelations all in the same day and doing our best just to keep our heads above water.

I can see what they were going for with the graphic design, but it really just made me want to leave Skyrim rather than do anything to save it.

There is lots and lots of stuff to do in skyrim from hundreds of quests to just walking though the forest, but after putting a lot of time into this game it all kind've feels empty and unsatisfying.

By contrast to its nearest competitors (Skyrim & Dragon Age Inquisition), there's just as muchcontent and (IMO, in regards to Skyrim) better content in Witcher 3.

For a game as big as skyrim the limited variety of armor and weapons to find is just sad.

Skyrim is heading to the Switch in just a few short weeks, and many Nintendo Switch owners are looking forward to another vast open world experience on the Nintendo Switch after enjoying The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Skyrim doesn't just work on the Switch — it's utterly perfect for the machine.

The Elder Scrolls Twitter account just announced a giveaway that provides winners the option to choose one of two prizes: either a custom Skyrim Nintendo Switch or PS4 Pro....

It's been just over six years since Skyrim, the fifth installment in the Elder Scrolls franchise, was released on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC and it doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.

The game kinda reminded me of Skyrim a bit just from screenshots.

With last year's release of a Special Edition on PS4 and Xbox One and the announcement of Skyrim VR coming to PSVR, it's no surprise to see the title making its way to Nintendo's hybrid just in time for the holiday season.

It seems that Bethesda's game director, Todd Howard, has just confirmed that Skyrim is indeed coming to the Nintendo Switch.

Would Skyrim fans in 2010 not say they are getting less of a final game in 2011 when they would have NEVER known that Skyrim 2011 would have always just been that content?

Mostly it just fails in the same way that Skyrim's storyline did, in presentation of it all and the lack of personality on display from the characters.

And let's not even get started on the Skyrim realm that's just begging to be explored.

But if you want more Skyrim, more places to explore, more gear to covet and just plain more, then Dragonborn is completely for you.

The basic idea for making this decision is that after the success of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4, the company wants to let these series rest and demonstrate that it can work on other franchises: «Quite honestly, they didn't want to be the developer that was just Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Fallout for the rest of their development career.

Just like they sent out Rayman Legends Wii U to die against GTA V and how they sent Rayman Origins Wii out to die against... drumroll please... Skyrim again!

I think I'm actually just waiting for Skyrim remaster to go on sale digitally.

As I write this I've spent around a 120 - hours in the world of Skyrim, battling dragons, looting dungeons, stealing (I mean «acquiring») items of value, fighting vampires, having fun as a werewolf, forging my own custom gear, assassinating poor suckers for money and generally just getting up to much shenanigans.

And not a moment too soon; my adventures in Skyrim were just starting to get a little tiresome.

They manage to include just about every quirk and strange NPC behavior of Skyrim.

In fact, one example is finding a sword that deals fire damage: in something like Skyrim that means it just glows slightly red, which is rather disappointing, but in Amalur the blade is wreathed in flame, and when using it in combat it can be used deliver massive backhanded blows that unleash concussive blasts of fire that send enemies flying.

btw don't bring up Bluray for last gen, it doesn't help your arguement, some huge games like Skyrim and alot other games did just fine on 360.

The end result is that while it may only affects the game in certain scenarios, the bottom line is that Skyrim runs smoother on base PS4 hardware than it does on the Pro - and that's just not good enough.

Nintendo's Hidemaro Fujibayashi and Eiji Aonuma sat down to discuss just how much of an impact Skyrim had on Breath of the Wild's development.

It's not a stretch to say The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was one hotly hyped game, but now we've got the statistics to prove just how popular it truly was.

A game like Dying Light simply cries out for modification, for people to play with the systems and create new content, and games like Skyrim have shown that by supporting and allowing a thriving mod community your game can live on for many years, rather than just months.

Case and Point was Darksiders 2, beat the game and platinumed it in about 42 hours, yet it was the best bang for my buck i got this gen honestly, found it way more fun and enjoyable than Skyrim IMO to which i have spent about 70 hrs in and can't even stand to look at the case anymore (just got boring halfway through that playtime, but i held out hoping it got better but it never did) I value if it was worth it by the experience it provided, and the amount of good content it holds.

Resident Evil, Skyrim and Monster Hunter... even if they are just ports, I think this launch blew ours away.

Skyrim is like that; the more time you spend in its world, the more little glitches and faults you find, but you just simply won't care.

On top of that, Skyrim is such a massive game that being able to take it portably for long commutes or even just when others are using the TV is a huge selling point here.

For a while I was planning on blowing this off and just getting Skyrim and picking this up later, but it's definitely now become a priority for me to get asap!

These are just a few of the possibilities that await you in Skyrim, and by your actions, how you play and who you join with you'll define your own story through Skyrim, and that is perhaps its biggest strength.

Just days ago Peter Hines of Bethesda hinted that an announcement regarding Skyrim's first DLC would be coming today.
