Sleepsack because our wild child started breaking out of her swaddle around 18 weeks.

The Halo
Sleepsack offers a tighter swaddle
because it has a stronger and larger Velcro to wrap your newborn.
Non-traditional swaddle blankets, that are more like sleeping bags from SwaddleMe or Halo
Sleepsack, are great for bigger babies
because they have Velcro to secure babies in a swaddle.
The Halo
SleepSack is so great
because it keeps your baby warm while avoiding using blankets that he or she could get tangled up in.
The
sleepsack has really helped Alex finally start sleeping through the night
because he isn't too hot or too cold anymore.
Also, swaddling does work really well for some babies (it did with mine), but I found it very hard to replicate the superb swaddling job that the neonatal nurses do,
because when I tried it with a regular swaddling blanket she quickly wormed her way out of it, so instead I used a swaddling
sleepsack (my favorite was the Kiddopotamus, but others swear by the Miracle Blanket or the Halo), and actually continued swaddling until quite recently
because it helped her sleep so much!
