The dough recipe comes from Deb over at
smitten kitchen and has brown butter in it, which is what I want to fill my next bath with.
My inspiration for this fascinating combination was the ever - fabulous Deb of
Smitten Kitchen, although I changed many things, including adding the much maligned leafy greens.
As Deb at
smitten kitchen notes, matzah doesn't like to break in straight lines, so don't worry if you get some seriously craggy bits.

My dream pumpkin loaf would have the flavor from Cook's Illustrated with the volume from
Smitten Kitchen with the crumb / topping from Tartine and the texture from Epicurious, made with the ease of All Recipes.
Unfortunately, both of these loaves exited the oven with dense, spongy bottoms (although the top half of
Smitten Kitchen looked normal, and we tried to serve just the normal section to our judges).
I've made them every year since 2010 using
Smitten Kitchen's recipe.
