I've
done the cauliflower buffalo
bites, but these would be great for some protein
snacks.
Actually I haven't felt in that frame of mind for quite some time but not one to miss out on an opportunity for a little
bit of healthy indulgence, this also makes an amazing mid afternoon
snack if you feel in a
bit of an energy slump... or are in one of those fidgety «not sure what to
do with myself type of moods» (yep that's me on a frequent basis).
Oh wow... even without the apple topping, this was fabulous (I made the apples, but they didn't last beyond the first day, and the cake
did, so...) A
bit on the dry side, but still a great
snacking cake, breakfast cake, or whenever the mood strikes cake.
A typical full day of eating for me looks like: Breakfast: Spinach, Mushroom, Onion and Tomato Frittata... sometimes with bacon or homemade sausage Iced Coffee with coconut milk Lunch (this is usually my largest meal of the day): 4 - 5 ounces of protein (turkey burger, pulled pork, chicken thighs, ground buffalo), roasted veggies and sometimes a sweet potato or butternut squash

Since they are entirely fruit - sweetened (therefore not overly sweet), I don't feel the least

bites of each item on their plate, and just a small amount of milk so they don't fill up on it.

snacks that I knew that would be safe and I wouldn't be giving the Heimlich Maneuver you know, while I was trying to breastfeed.
You don't need to have lunch just because the clock says 12 p.m.. On the flip side, there will also be days when all you want to
do is eat — but if you keep only low - fat and nutritious foods at home, then you won't have to feel too guilty for
snacking a
bit more than normal.
If baby
does land a
bite, try to quickly pull the baby in closer, try to stay calm and redirect them with something they CAN chew on - a frozen cloth, a wooden or silicone teether, or a
snack.
