or if you have blood clots bigger than a golf ball.

Try
soaking gauze
pads in cold Witch Hazel and place on a maxi
pad for 10 to 20 minutes
or sitting in a sitz bath
or tub of warm water for 20 minutes, three times a day.
If flat diapers and prefolds aren't your thing, consider pocket diapers, fitteds, and all in one diapers made with all natural fibers in their absorbent layers, and think about a diaper that will be easier to wash — say an all in one diaper that has a
soaker pad that is only attached at one end,
or one that has removable layers.
Replace the
soaker pad at each diaper change, and replace the shell should it get damp
or soiled.
Heavy bleeding means you're
soaking through at least one tampon
or pad in just one to two hours.
Unless the shell gets soiled
or wet, you can simply change out the inner
pad (
soaker) and re-use the shell!
You don't necessarily need to rinse
or soak the
pads before washing them, it also works fine to simply store the used
pads in a wet bag until laundry and then throw them into the washing machine.

Instead of using a heating
pad, try treating minor abdominal discomfort by
soaking in a warm bath
or changing positions.
If a woman is wearing a
pad to
soak up any unforeseen spills
or leakage, the risk of seeing a stain
or two is minimized.
To properly rid your diapers, liners, wipes, towels, changing
pads, etc. of yeast, you will need to switch to a more rigorous washing routine using oxygenated bleach until your baby's rash disappears, and for five days afterwards, as follows *: Fill machine with hot water Add the maximum recommended amount of oxygenated bleach, stir until dissolved Add diapers etc. and
soak for 15 minutes Wash on hot, with oxy bleach (same quantity as above) + detergent Rinse well, with lots of water Dry in the sun if at all possible (it really helps to disinfect),
or in the dryer.
I also really like the various insert options including the unbelievably absorbent
soaker pads, prefolds and disposable biosoaker inserts that are perfect for when you are away from home
or traveling.
Because the
soaker pads have a waterproof backing, the hybrid shell can be reused several times during the day (
or until soiled).
But if you're passing clots that are larger than a quarter
or are
soaking through your
pads or tampons quickly, your doctor may recommend a variety of different treatments to remedy the problem.
The oldest has a very heavy flow for a 6 - 8 hour stretch that she
soaks right through
pads in an hour
or two.
Excessive bleeding may be indicated by
soaking a
pad every hour
or passing large clots.
For example, it can be pressed into a cheap industrial textile — useful as absorbent
padding inside machinery, to protect bare ground from erosion,
or to
soak up oil from polluted water.
For sore joints, try a heating
pad, a hot
soak in the tub,
or a steamy shower.
A half
soaked regular
pad or tampon equals 2.5 ml and a half
soaked super tampon holds 5 ml.
Each
soaked regular
pad or tampon holds roughly 5 ml of blood, so it's totally fine to
soak 2 - 7
pads / tampons during each period.
If your period lasts longer than seven days and you're losing more than 80 ml of blood per cycle,
or you're
soaking more than 16 regular tampons
or pads per cycle, then this is a sign of a heavier than average flow (menorrhagia).
So one
soaked regular tampon
or pad holds 5 ml
or 1 teaspoon of blood and a fully
soaked super tampon holds 10 ml.
A clean cotton
or wool flannel cloth,
soaked with castor oil, applied over the liver, (and covered with an old, heavy towel) covered with a heating
pad and left on for about an hour is phenomenal for encouraging improved liver function.

Soak a 12 inch square cloth (cotton
or wool flannel fabric works best) with castor oil, and prepare either a hot water
or bottle heating
pad.
Heavy Periods / Menorrhagia: Menorrhagia is defined as excessively heavy
or prolonged menstrual bleeding, for example,
soaking through a
pad every hour for several hours.
Call the doctor if... • you experience extreme abdominal tenderness, fever
or persistent cramping • you have problems urinating • your stitches become extremely tender • your vaginal discharge suddenly becomes bright red and extremely heavy (
soaking one large
pad in the course of an hour), develops an unpleasant odour
or contains clots larger than a quarter • you develop a fever
or flu - like symptoms • you feel dizzy
or faint, even after you have rested • you develop a hot, inflamed
or red area on your leg that is tender to the touch (sign of a possible blood clot)
Heavy flow is about 5.5 tablespoons
or more, which would
soak about 16 normal - size tampons
or pads in one period.
To use, simply
soak a cotton ball
or pad with the water and sweep it across your face ---- heavy makeup wearers may need to repeat once
or twice.
Micelle molecules are suspended in a soft water solution and as you glide a cotton ball
or pad soaked in the solution across your skin, the molecules attract, trap, and lift away any excess oils, dirt, and other impurities from the skin's surface.
If this is your first time hearing about this, Toner Mask is the method of
soaking two to three cotton
pads into your fave toner
or essence
or both, and then stick them to your face like a mask (as shown by Jessica Jung in the photo above) for three - five minutes.
Running a cotton
pad soaked with a rinse - free, vitamin - rich micellar water like Bioderma's Sensibo H2O will wipe away impurities without causing redness
or irritation.
