While I'm used to cooking with real, unprocessed foods, I'm working on incorporating the NT way into my family's meal plans, e.g. the extra step of
soaking oatmeal, rice, etc..
I've heard that
soaking oatmeal overnight and mixing it with anything containing phytases (buckwheat, rye) breaks down the phytic acids in oatmealmaking it easier for your body to digest.
Soaking oatmeal all the way though.
If texture is not an issue (such as using the milk in some recipes baking — or for
soaking oatmeal), is there any reason to strain?
