In my opinion, Sonic Colors is without a doubt the best
Sonic game since Adventure 2 and possibly better.
sonicforces should have all dlc free forever and supersonic has been in
every sonic game since sonic 2!
Unimpressive linear 2D levels, whiny supporting cast, pointless storyline, tacked - on second playable character, the entire game can be cleared in less than two days... and the best damn boss battles of
any Sonic game since our hero's glory days.
Mania's gameplay is painstakingly put - together to be as true to the classics as possible, while Introducing new gameplay elements, making it closer to an official sequel than any other
Sonic game since the mid-90s.
i would not be so bothered if they had different ability's but the new update i have already had to wait between 2 - 5 min between each game to load hope this sorts it self out as generations and dash is the best

This darker story is something fans have wanted to see in

Sonic games have started to improve in quality IMO ever
since Sonic Colors.
Since now we're having a lot of money problems here in Brazil, l guess l won't really be able to keep buying Nintendo
games anymore, maybe only Zelda Wii U or Mario &
Sonic 2016 Wii U and then I'm done.
Sonic games used to work similarly, but
since going 3D their challenge has come more from Simon Says reaction tests and level memorisation than genuine gameplay complexity.

since all the dialogue in the recent
Sonic games have been written by the writers of Happy Tree Friends.
While nowhere near as problematic as Classic
Sonic,

Sonic games have rather «loose» controls and physics so there's no recent point of comparison, Modern
Sonic's controls were absolutely still an issue in Forces.
More than Mania at least
since outside of one horrible level and the Classic
Sonic bits the
game didn't feel like it was giving me deaths by being cheap.
Since these
games have so many characters, let's stick to just looking at
Sonic himself.
I think we speak for the majority of the gaming universe when we say it's been awhile
since we were excited about a
Sonic game.
This also marks the first time that the Streets of Rage
games and Shining In The Darkness and Shining Force 1 and 2 have appeared in a Sega compilation pack outside of Japan, which makes a change
since Sonic Gems never had the Streets of Rage
games when it was released outside of Japan.

game and recently 2016 we launched the Mario &
Sonic Rio Olympics
games so now we are friends.

since there were no cutscenes, nobody gave a crap about it.

Sonic's 25th anniversary last year, Iizuka received a task to deliver some sort of product - the target was «dormant fans» who used to play the SEGA Genesis, but haven't really played any
games since - Iizuka met Christian Whitehead, which lead to the creation of
Sonic Mania - there was talk of another port, but Iizuka thought fans would desire something new from the old
games - this is the first time Iizuka partnered with a team of devs spread across various countries - Iizuka said this team had a greater passion to create - this was in comparison to companies that set decisions on a pre-determined schedule (in meetings, etc)- the team had so many features they still wanted to add after the beta version was complete -
since there were only a few spots with text that needed to be localized, they could bring the
game to more places quicker - the
game has Japanese, English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish support - the Studiopolis stage is included due to receiving the most requests from the
Sonic Mania development team - Iizuka actually considered reducing the amount of stages at one point in order to meet the development schedule -
Sonic Mania doesn't really have much in the way of cut content like scrapped stages -
since Sonic Mania was only distributed digitally, the team was able to continue working very close leading up to launch - this let them put in practically all ideas, and there are currently no plans for DLC - Iizuka recommended Flying Battery Zone for inclusion becaues he likes the music - he also likes when the player goes inside and outside the ship - Iizuka likes Mirage Saloon because the stage structure will be different depending on the player character chosen - Puyo Puyo gameplay was added because there was a Puyo Puyo
game released in the west for the SEGA Genesis - this
game was originally called «Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine», and the team thought it would make a fun boss battle - Iizuka didn't have plans to feature Blue Sphere in the special stages - the Blue Sphere special stages were brought over to Mania as a test, but ended up staying for the final
game - the team felt the need to continuously connect stages from various eras, which is doe with the Phantom Ruby story - for
Sonic Mania, it was decided that the technological limit would be set at SEGA CD, - this is higher than the Genesis but lower than Saturn - in creating a SEGA CD - grade special stage, they would intentionally make SEGA CD - grade polygons
Since you don't count Colors, Unleashed, and Generations as «3D»
games for some reason I'd argue that Heroes is actually the best 3D
Sonic game and while that's not saying much.
Since he was first introduced to the world 26 years ago,
Sonic has continued to grow in popularity as part of our core strategy to focus on video
games.
It's been awhile
since the world has gotten collectively hot and bothered about the release of a new
Sonic game.
I've played a lot of
Sonic games (but, disclaimer, not all of them, because no person alive is that much of a masochist)
since getting the original into my sticky clutches — and that was the Master System version, not its more famous Mega Drive cousin, which was quite the different
