light on the physical processes that led to the formation of the earliest supermassive black holes, the
research team will carry out further investigations on this quasar with more international telescopes, including the Hubble
Space Telescope
and the Chandra X-ray Telescope.

spaces, the realm of
research and practice in which basic processes of life are restructured
and redesigned.
San Diego, CA — The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (MCASD) announced that the Getty Foundation has awarded the Museum a $ 225,000 grant to support
research and planning for the forthcoming exhibition Phenomenal: California
Light and Space.
As the process of
research continued, this expanded into a multi-faceted investigation of
light,
space and events.
Program Curator Alex Klein will conduct
research first in Chicago, where she will interview the artist
and view her extensive archives,
and then in California, where she will speak to people affiliated with the Bauhaus
and the California
Light and Space movements — both influences on Kasten's work.
The publication is introduced by a set of photographic archive images representing the formal
and iconographic sources of the paintings, which are then shown in a chromatic sequence highlighting the artist's deep
