This vertical alignment of
standards is content - organized and color
coded for simple
reference.
The
Standards Reference Code is only used to identify or align performance indicators listed in the
standards to daily lesson plans, curriculum documents, or national
standards.
Coordinated by the National Farm Animal Care Council (NFACC), these
codes outline acceptable
standards of care for farm animals across Canada and serve as
reference documents for provincial animal cruelty laws.
DOE has already completed 29 sets of

In February, a federal court issued an injunction barring Public Resource from publishing technical and scientific
standards incorporated by
reference in the
Code of Federal Regulations.
Last year, the ABA passed a resolution saying that all
standards incorporated by
reference into the
Code of Federal Regulations should be available for free on the internet, which was good.
The Public Accountants Council may exercise its regulation - making powers by adopting by
reference any
code,
standard, guideline or procedure.
(1.2) If a regulation described in subsection (1.1) so provides, a
code,
standard, guideline or procedure adopted by
reference shall be a
reference to it, as amended from time to time, and whether the amendment was made before or after the regulation was adopted.
According to the Ontario Human Rights Commission, «one way to help harmonize the AODA with the
Code is to
reference obligations under the
Code and set out interpretive human rights principles directly into the
standards so that those responsible can properly interpret and apply the
standard in light of these obligations.»
These address new industry
standards proposed to be
referenced in Ontario's Building
Code, and relate to items such as residential wood - burning appliances and exterior insulation and finish systems.
