practice means, have given us a common language to not only value expertise, but to be able to collectively recognise it.

standard in many school districts, but many programs need to strengthen coursework on literacy instruction for prospective teachers seeking a content - area certification.16 Furthermore, all teacher preparation programs have yet to coalesce around a common understanding
of accomplished practice, though the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, or the National Board, has taken steps to provide teacher preparation programs with access to model teaching lessons.
Today only a small fraction
of America's teachers are Board - certified — having demonstrated their
practice meets high
standards for
accomplished teaching that leads to research - proven improvements in student learning.
Supporting such an integrated system is a clear and coherent image
of what
accomplished practice is and the body
of knowledge embodied in profession - driven
standards.
Rising instructional leaders demonstrate the
accomplished practices of instruction and coaching, meeting LDC / SCALE national
standards that are aligned with National Board certification and other effectiveness systems.
All
of our stakeholders have a chance to see our
standards in action and they learn that
accomplished practice makes a difference for students.
In it, he says, «The
standards for
accomplished teaching encompass both the habits
of mind needed by outstanding teachers — their knowledge, strategies, grasp
of subject matter and understanding
of developing kids — and also their skills, the technical «habits
of practice» that
accomplished professionals in every field
of practice have honed and developed.
«This is something that I committed to do almost 26 years ago to get our
practice up to the
standards, and I'm pleased and challenged and proud
of the fact that we have been able to
accomplish this for so many years,» he said.
New work underway at WRI will help states
accomplish this by examining available technologies and best
practices to reduce methane emissions, as well as proposing key requirements that should be part
of any new laws or
standards.
