snowmobilers to carry insurance, and more
states could follow suit.
According to the Minnesota United
Snowmobilers Association, there are over a quarter of a million snowmobiles in the
state.
States that see more snowfall and longer winters may require higher rates on snowmobile insurance since
snowmobilers are likely to spend more time on their vehicles, and thus have a higher risk of accidents.
