debate and enactment of resolutions submitted are effected by the Delegate Assembly, which consists of local
school board members from the various
states and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Ongoing

state board will also take up ongoing code proposals on teacher evaluation and charter
schools, two of the hottest topics in education these days.
It was the first in a series of eight planned
debates for the
state school board election, sponsored by the Utah Association of Public Charter
Schools, Sutherland Institute, Hinckley Institute of Politics, United Way of Salt Lake and KSL.
