I have seen many
stock screeners that search
on common criteria, but even one like Morningstar's premium
screener is very limitied.
Edelweiss is another simple
stock screener which has lot more criteria to filter companies based
on valuation, market performance, shareholding pattern, management effectiveness etc and to apply these filters
on the same tab to find specific
stocks.
The
screener will produce a list of candidate
stocks that you can then begin diligence
on to see if you want to own them for the medium or long term (in case they're not called at expiration).
A
stock screener is a tool to shortlist few companies from a pool of all the listed companies
on a
stock exchange using filters.

Globe Investor has an advanced
stock screener that some prefer to use but at this point I'm not willing to pay for something I can get for free
on Google.
I chose to focus
on companies that are
on the lower end of the beta bell curve (shown
on the Google
stock screener).
This is just my strategy, so follow these steps
on how to use FINVIZ
stock screener at your own discretion to fit your needs as an investor.
Hi Artem, that isn't an option (that I know of) for the
screener but if you search a
stock in google finance and click
on the one year chart you'd be able to see when dividends are paid (monthly, quarterly, etc)
Conclusion — different investors will have different search preferences and the nice thing about a
stock screener is that you can search based
on what is important to you.
Our powerful
stock screeners can help identify trading opportunities or conduct research
on potential investments quickly and easily.
But investors willing to do a little research
on their own should eschew buying the ETFs and should instead use their holdings as a convenient
stock screener.
Before you decide
on one, try using a
stock screener to find out which company has the highest dividend yield.
You can also access quotes, read news stories and conduct research using advanced
screeners on thousands of
stocks, mutual funds and ETFs.
But
on balance, I think Graham and Schloss would have not been interested in the vast majority of net - nets and so - called cheap
stocks that show up today in these typical
screeners and backtests.
There are several user - friendly
screeners to watch day trading
stocks on and to help you identify which ones to buy.
One wrinkle in that theory is that the low price - to - book value studies only examine the cheapest quintile and decile, where I have taken the cheapest 30
stocks on the Google Finance
screener, which is the cheapest decile of the cheapest decile.
So why doesn't everyone just look for
stocks with low P / Es and high dividend yields which can easily be found
on a
stock screener?
The
stocks on his
screener on average far outperform the market.
Basically, TAM's a
stock most people would otherwise never stumble across, but I'm sure it popped
on plenty of
stock screeners.
