Cupcakes recipes, but not many of them are suituble for those who are on gluten
free and
sugar free diet.
I need to make these sweet like a «real
sugar cupcake» and was wondering how much
sugar free sweetener to use.
And anyone who has made gluten
free, dairy
free, low
sugar stuff knows that look kids give when they think something tastes gross and the heartbreak that comes with throwing away expensive ingredient
cupcakes with only one bite out of them...
I'm not here to judge anyone that does grab a treat from that grocery aisle or grabs brownies /
cupcakes from the nearest bakery BUT if you could have the same fulfillment with a grain & gluten
free treat, made without processed
sugar and extra ingredients that absolutely don't have to be there, then why not make ones that are a bit «healthier», if you will?
if I'd only thought to look for
sugar free frosting before I tried my version, but I did have huge success using reduced carrot juice for a beautiful, golden orange colour to the icing (a nice touch for a squash
cupcake for Halloween).
By the way, I added gluten
free beer in my
cupcakes to round out the flavor, along with cocoa, brown
sugar, vanilla and coffee.
I iced these
cupcakes with 1 brick of cream cheese, 1 tsp orange oil, 1/2 cup gluten
free icing
sugar and 2 Tbsp coconut milk creamer.
And I planned to start a
sugar free blah - blah healthy week to forget and forgive my last week full of
cupcakes / truffles / currywurst / burger & ice - cream in Berlin.
Bittersweet Chocolate Quinoa
Cupcakes with Chocolate Frosting are both gluten
free and vegan, also
sugar free, with high fiber and low fat.
I'm excited to try these out, especially since they're
sugar free (
cupcakes for breakfast!!!)
