In 2015, Tate Liverpool will also stage a
summer exhibition bringing together the late
works of influential American artist Jackson Pollock, plus solo exhibitions by Romanian artist Geta Brătescu and the video -
installation artist and Turner nominee Cathy Wilkes.
Spanning numerous areas
of SALT, the exhibition brings together photographic
works, wall texts, films and
installations, including the newly commissioned film There are no Syrian refugees in Turkey (2016), shot in Istanbul in the
summer of 2016.
Mark di Suvero's painted steel sculptures are a burst
of color in a green field, artists in residence create
installations across the island and
work in the studios near the ferry, and the Governors Island Art Fair crowds the island every
summer.
As part
of my continued interest in artists who consciously insure that the medium they use is integral to the content
of their
work, this
summer the gallery presents three
installations reliant not only on technological equipment but on the prior experience
of technology; the way we have learned to perceive and respond to film, recorded messages, and computer - generated material.
The Bruces thrive on site - specific
work — like a film about zombies watching movies in the
summer of 2009, in the theater
of an abandoned military
installation on Governors Island.
Barbara Kruger, Modern Art Oxford Barbara Kruger's
work is in major collections across the world and this
summer her

While «The Universal Adversary» is the first exhibition
of this magnitude in the gallery, Ritchie has been
working on an architectural scale for the last five years, beginning with Games

Over the
summer, Colombian artist Oscar Murillo, known for his monumental
installations of black flags at the Venice Bienniale in 2015 (and more recently incorporated into this year's Sharjah Biennial), came to Ras al - Amud to take this ongoing body
of work, «The Institute
of Reconciliation,» in a new direction.
Previously exhibited at the artist's major survey presented at the Vancouver Art Gallery during the
summer of 2015, this is the fourth
work by Farmer to enter the Gallery's collection, including the massive
installation The Surgeon and the Photographer which will be touring to the Institute
of Contemporary Art, Boston.
Over the next couple
of years, he staged a series
of memorably class - conscious shows in London: «The Cleaners» Late

In this event, Craig - Martin — highly acclaimed for his coordination
of the
Summer Exhibition 2015 — will focus on his printmaking practice, which has been integral to his iconic
works, from etching and screen printing to 3D printing and light - box
installations.
