Summer is the
season for picnics, the weather is warm and the
days are long.
I've been aspiring to create a cake like this while
summer berries are at the height of their
season, and the final product has exceeded my aspirations ten fold.It's also perfect timing with Father's
Day coming up this weekend!

The long hot
days of
summer are now just a memory, and we are officially celebrating a new
season.
And while I know consciously that
summer is ending and that the
days have noticeably become much cooler — sometimes requiring more than just a light jacket and a thin scarf — it still shocked me into accepting the fact that the
seasons are changing once again.
Come spring and
